Beautiful Chaos: Exploring the Angkor Archaeological Complex

Location: Angkor Archaeological Complex, Cambodia Temple Date: 1191

“What the happy!?” Look at this. This is amazing. Oh my gosh, this is so amazing.

We are in Cambodia, specifically in the Angkor Archaeological Complex. You can feel the history just standing here.

The First Temple: A Tribute to a Father

Our first stop was a temple built in 1191. It was constructed for the King at a time when he imposed Buddhism rule over Hinduism. This specific temple was actually dedicated to the memories of his father.

Walking through, it is fantastic. You feel like you want to be quiet because it is so ancient and beautiful. The windows, the architecture—wow.

Angkor Wat Day 1: Temple Run

Just driving through the park, you feel this emotion and energy come over you. It is palpable. For me—and I am emotional—it is hard not to cry knowing how long ago this was built. You can feel how much energy, effort, love, and belief was put into this entire complex.

It is incredible, and I am very, very grateful to be here.

The Elephant Terrace & A Proposal

We made our way to the Elephant Terrace.

“Happy New Year!”

“Will you marry me this year? Will you marry me in Cambodia?”

The answer is yes. Always yes. That will be our 11th time getting married!

Nature in Harmony

Brown Bacon Powers Activate!

One of the most striking things is looking at how nature is just taking over the ruins. Nature is in harmony with the stone. It is amazing.

Beautiful Chaos

What the magical, mystical, mysterious, magnificent… Angkor Wat?

What we know for sure is that this is 2024, and you have no idea what to expect from Eyecool (transitioning to WeBrownBacon!). This is just another day. Bam! It is just a day in our life.

Follow us because we want to share it with you, because we truly have no idea what’s coming next. Who doesn’t love beautiful chaos?
